Danish-Scottish Society Craft Fair – Sat. 12th Dec. 10 – 4pm

Once again, Aileen Friis-Jørgensen is organising a craft fair with a variety of Danish and Scottish produce for sale such as christmas decorations, tartan and handmade felt produce, soaps, silk goods, paintings and cards from several stall holders. There will also be an opportunity to enjoy coffee/tea and homemade cakes.

Donations from the stall holders and customers will be sent to St. Columba’s Hospice, Edinburgh.

Duck Dinner (2004)

Venue: The Thistle Hotel, 107 Leith Street, Edinburgh

We are returning to the 4 star Thistle Hotel in Edinburgh for our traditional duck dinner.
This means easy access for people travelling by bus or train and car parking is available
next to the hotel.

We will meet in the Cramond Bar on the 2nd floor at 7pm.

Menu:
- Gravad lax
- Breast of duck, ‘brunede kartofler’, ‘rødkål’, vegetables and gravy
- Æblekage (traditional apple pie)
- Coffee

Price per person: £18

New Director At the DCI

The society welcomes Kim Minke as the new director at the Danish Cultural Institute. Kim is the former principal of the School of Journalism in Aarhus and takes over the DCI from former director Dorte Foged in October 2009.

We look forward to working closely with Kim and the DCI in the years to come.
