Gingers at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh – 10th May at 2pm

Venue: The Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh
Axel Dalberg Poulsen will be our guide on a private tour demonstrating how research on gingers is carried out and why it is important. You will see how collections of gingers are managed in the herbarium and the glass houses – places which are not usually open to the public.

You may want to visit Axel’s home page to view ginger pictures from his recent expeditions: http://dalbergpoulsen.com

Meet at 2 p.m. at the East Gate (Inverleith Row). The tour will take approx. 1 hour and will mainly take place inside. Afterwards, there will be an option to buy refreshments, coffee or tea at the café and/or go for a walk outside in the Garden.
Although you are welcome to just turn up at this event, we would appreciate some indication of numbers, so please phone or email Ulla if you plan to attend.
